How we built OnDemandVacation: stays, cars, boats and activities per destination, with a direct request.
OnDemandVacation ties a trip to local providers: homes, cars, boats and activities. The guest describes the plan and requests availability directly. Providers publish their own listing.
Problem
A holiday is more than a hotel room. The car, the boat and an excursion usually live on three sites, with three owners. A guide that does not point at what is nearby is a blog. A host who fears an unclear commission per booking will not list the house.
Approach
Destination pages with rentals and activities nearby. The guest submits a plan and is matched with providers. Providers receive the request directly, with no commission per booking. Guides belong to the destination, not to a loose blog.
